Uttaranchal University proudly hosted a vibrant Deeksharambh 2026 – Student Induction Programme, to warmly welcome the newly admitted students and introduce them to the institution's academic ethos, values, and opportunities. The event marked the beginning of a transformative journey, fostering a sense of belonging and inspiring students to embrace the exciting years ahead with confidence and enthusiasm.
The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a welcome address that set a positive tone for the session. Prof. Poonam Rawat extended a warm welcome to the freshers and encouraged the students with the words, "Make the most of every opportunity, remain curious, and strive for excellence in every endeavour."
Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice chancellor and Dean Law College Dehradun, congratulated the students for choosing Uttaranchal University at Dron Nagari and highlighted the significance of the institution's Silver Jubilee Year and its legacy. He also took pride that students from 21 states across the country have taken admission in Law College Dehradun, creating a cosmopolitan environment.
Addressing the gathering, the Vice President of the University Ms. Ankita Joshi remarked, "Education is not merely about acquiring knowledge but about developing character, leadership, and the courage to create meaningful change in society."
