The Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Uttaranchal University, organized an Alumni Interaction & Entrepreneur Session on 06 August 2026 to strengthen the lifelong association between the institute and its alumni. The session provided students with an opportunity to interact with successful alumni and gain practical insights into career planning, industry expectations, interview preparation, emerging trends in pharmacy, entrepreneurship, continuous learning, and professional ethics.
The alumni were warmly welcomed by Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola, Director, UIPS, and Dr. Yogita Tyagi, HoD, UIPS, in the presence of faculty members. The event was coordinated by Mr. Akash Samanta and Mr. Praveen Semwal, Assistant Professors, UIPS. Dr. Sumit Durgapal congratulated the alumni on their achievements and encouraged them to remain connected with the institute by mentoring students and supporting future collaborations.

Mr. Anand Raj, Product Management Team, Cadila Pharmaceuticals, discussed pharmaceutical product management, industry opportunities, and career prospects.
Mr. Peeush Yadav, Founder, LS Pharmaceuticals, shared insights into entrepreneurship, business development, and regulatory challenges in the pharmaceutical sector.
Ms. Vanshika Sautha, Junior Research Associate, Copmed Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. (A Division of Mankind), highlighted opportunities in pharmaceutical R&D, laboratory practices, and research careers.
Ms. Sakshi Duklan, Associate Medical Writer – Patient Safety, Parexel International, discussed medical writing, pharmacovigilance, patient safety, and clinical research careers.
The presentations were followed by an interactive discussion where students sought guidance on career pathways, professional skills, research opportunities, entrepreneurship, and industry expectations. The session concluded on a positive note, with students appreciating the alumni's valuable guidance and practical experiences.
