The visit was organised as part of their Pharmacognosy curriculum, aiming to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical exposure to herbal aromatic plants and their formulations. The visit aimed to help students understand plant cultivation, identification, and essential oil extraction techniques.
During the visit, students explored the herbal garden and learned about the cultivation, identification, and uses of medicinal and aromatic plants such as lemongrass, citronella, tulsi, mentha, timur, rosemary etc. and interacted with experts. The exposure also sparked interest in research and entrepreneurship in the field of natural products and herbal formulations.
