The inaugural session began with Saraswati Vandana and a welcome address by Prof (Dr) Sharad Pandey, Director, SOA. Students were orientated about the university’s history, vision, and facilities, followed by a guided campus tour. Mentor–mentee interactions, cultural performances, and a Talent Hunt created a lively atmosphere, helping students build confidence and connect with their peers.
Sessions such as Library Orientation by Dr Ramveer Tanwar, alumni interactions, and expert lectures, including one by the Agriculture Officer of Uttarakhand, enriched students with practical insights into agriculture and career opportunities. Recreational activities, including treasure hunts, indoor games, and fun competitions, enhanced teamwork and bonding among participants.
A major highlight was the educational tour to the Forest Research Institute (FRI), where students explored forestry, biodiversity, and sustainable practices. The motivational talk, Inspire to Aspire, by Mr Alok Saxena, further encouraged students to strive for excellence. Curriculum orientation, ERP and digital learning sessions (SWAYAM, MOOCs), along with an anti-ragging awareness session, ensured academic readiness and campus safety.
