The School of Applied and Life Sciences (SALS), Uttaranchal University, organised an informative session on the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system on 21 August 2025 to familiarize students with its features and benefits. The session was held under the guidance of Prof. Ajay Singh, Dean, SALS, and the resource person Mr. Arun Thakur, Head, ERP.
Mr. Arun Thakur commenced the session by welcoming the students and highlighting the significance of ERP in streamlining academic and administrative processes. He explained that ERP is an integrated online platform designed to manage essential information related to students, teachers, courses, examinations, and fees, thereby ensuring smooth and organized university operations. During the presentation, Mr. Thakur elaborated on the various benefits of ERP for students, including easy access to class schedules, attendance records, academic performance, and examination results. He demonstrated how students can pay fees online, receive instant notifications regarding events and deadlines, and submit assignments through the system. Students were also guided on how to log in to the ERP portal using their credentials and explore the dashboard for academic and personal details. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where queries were addressed effectively. The event was highly beneficial in enhancing students’ understanding of digital academic management at the university. The event was efficiently coordinated by Mr. V.K. Srivastava.
