Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Uttaranchal University, organized an expert talk on 03rd August 2026 at the UIPS Seminar Hall for B.Pharm students under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola, Director, UIPS. The session featured two distinguished industry experts, Mr. Rahul Vatish, HR Head, Intas Pharmaceuticals, Selaqui, Dehradun, and Mr. Amit Rawat, Senior Manager – Production, Intas Pharmaceuticals, Selaqui, Dehradun.
The first session was delivered by Mr. Rahul Vatish on “Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry Practices and Professional Expectations.” He shared valuable insights into personal growth, professional ethics, leadership, workplace expectations, and the importance of developing a positive mindset for academic and career success. His interaction helped students understand the qualities and competencies expected of future pharmaceutical professionals.
The second session was delivered by Mr. Amit Rawat on “Understanding Pharmaceutical Manufacturing: A Beginner’s Guide.” He provided students with comprehensive insights into pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory requirements, and career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry. The session helped students develop a better understanding of the practical aspects of pharmaceutical manufacturing and its role in ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Shalu Verma, Mrs. Mansi Butola, and Ms. Yogita Ale, Assistant Professors, UIPS. The expert interaction provided students with valuable industry exposure and helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional practices in the pharmaceutical sector.
