Education is not only about acquiring knowledge; it is also about developing values that shape responsible individuals and ethical professionals. As part of the Deeksharambh 2026 journey, the Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS), Uttaranchal University organized an insightful Awareness Session on “Mulya Pravah 2.0: Inculcation of Human Values and Professional Ethics in Higher Education Institutions” on 17 August 2026. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma, Director, USCS; Dr. Kartikey Gaur, Dean Students’ Welfare (DSW); Prof. (Dr.) Sameer Dev Sharma HoD USCS and Mr. Vinayak Sharma Swami, President, JAI Youth Wing, Shri Nityanand Swami Jan Seva Samiti (Reg.), whose presence and valuable insights enriched the session.
Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma addressed the students on the importance of human values, discipline, empathy, ethical conduct, and professional responsibility. Mr. Vinayak Sharma Swami engaged students in an insightful discussion on integrity, respect, responsibility, and professional ethics, emphasizing the importance of ethical decision-making alongside technical knowledge. Dr. Kartikey Gaur, highlighted the significance of responsible behaviour, values, and ethical conduct in shaping students’ personal and professional lives.
The session encouraged students to reflect on their values, behaviour, responsibilities, and professional conduct, helping them understand the role of ethics in personal and professional growth. It added a meaningful dimension to their Deeksharambh 2026 journey, reinforcing that a successful career is built not only on knowledge and skills but also on strong values and responsible character.
