The Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS), Uttaranchal University, successfully organized a Faculty Induction Programme for Teaching Excellence and Quality on 21st July 2026.The objective of the programme was to familiarize newly appointed faculty members with the institution's vision, mission, and quality-driven academic practices.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma, Director-USCS. In her address, she elaborated on the vision and mission of the institution and highlighted its unwavering commitment to fostering academic excellence, innovation, and student-centric learning. The session was followed by self-introductions from the newly inducted faculty members, providing an opportunity for meaningful interaction and fostering a sense of belonging within the USCS family.
The programme featured insightful sessions by distinguished academic and administrative leaders. Dr. Amarjeet Rawat discussed academic file preparation and laboratory management practices, while Mr. Praveen Shah, CoE-USCS, explained the examination and evaluation framework. He also demonstrated the effective use of the ERP system for academic and administrative processes and Ms. Manisha Saini highlighted the role of student clubs and institutional activities in holistic student development. The programme concluded with a session by Prof. (Dr.) Monisha Awasthi, DIQAC Coordinator, USCS, who highlighted quality assurance, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), academic documentation, NAAC and IQAC best practices, and continuous quality improvement for institutional excellence.
The programme concluded with an inspiring address and vote of thanks by Prof. (Dr.) Sameer Dev Sharma, HoD-USCS, marking the beginning of a collaborative journey dedicated to academic excellence, innovation, integrity, and a sustained culture of quality at USCS.
