The Department of Civil Engineering, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT), Uttaranchal University, commenced its 45-day Summer Internship-cum-Training Programme on Revit Architecture on June 5, 2026, aimed at equipping Civil Engineering students with practical exposure to Building Information Modelling (BIM) and contemporary architectural design practices.
The programme is being conducted under the expert guidance of Er. Dinesh Sharma, Mechanical Design Engineer and Software Trainer from The Design World, Dehradun. Through this training, students will gain hands-on experience in architectural modelling, project documentation, visualization, and BIM-based workflows, strengthening their understanding of industry-relevant digital tools.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ashish Pathani, Assistant Professor and Programme Coordinator, said the internship has been designed to help students develop software skills that are increasingly valued in the professional world. Dr. Gaurav Thakur, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, highlighted the importance of industry-oriented learning in shaping students for real-world challenges. Prof. (Dr.) Sumit Chaudhary, Director, UIT, stated that such initiatives play a vital role in enhancing employability and preparing students for the evolving demands of the engineering sector.
The programme is expected to provide participants with a strong foundation in modern design technologies, bridging the gap between classroom learning and professional practice.
