School of Agriculture, Uttaranchal University successfully organized a workshop on “Business Plan Preparation” on 15th April, 2026. The event aimed to enhance students’ entrepreneurial skills and provide practical insights into developing effective and viable business plans.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome, followed by an inaugural address by Prof (Dr.) Sharad Pandey, Director, SOA. In his valuable speech, he emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector and encouraged students to explore innovative business ideas. He highlighted how a well-structured business plan can transform ideas into successful enterprises.
The technical session was conducted by Mr. Sunil Prakash, Assistant Professor, who delivered an informative lecture on the fundamentals of business plan preparation. He covered key components such as market analysis, financial planning, risk assessment, and strategic management. The session was interactive, allowing students to engage actively and clarify their doubts.
The workshop concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Diksha Nautiyal, Assistant Professor, who expressed gratitude to the speaker, organizers, and participants for making the event successful.
Overall, the workshop proved to be highly informative and beneficial for students, equipping them with essential knowledge and skills required for preparing effective business plans and promoting entrepreneurial thinking in agriculture.
