The Marketing and Simulation Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University, successfully organized Reinvent 3600—The Reverse Innovation Challenge, a high-energy and intellectually stimulating event designed for management students. Held on 08 April 2025 at Block-II of UIM, the competition tested participants' strategic thinking, teamwork, and marketing acumen.
The event began with the ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by the University Kulgeet. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM, highlighted the importance of competitive events in fostering students' overall growth by making learning enjoyable and engaging. The event saw enthusiastic participation from multiple teams, each comprising three members who had to navigate through different marketing-related challenges based on the reverse innovation of the existing product.
The event was designed to simulate real-world marketing decision-making under pressure, pushing students to apply their classroom knowledge in a fast-paced, competitive setting. Judges, including esteemed faculty members of the institute, viz., Mr. Prasenjeet Samanta and Dr. Moh. Amir evaluated the blueprint of product innovation prepared by the teams on brand transformation, target market redefinition, and pricing strategy.
After an intense battle of wit and agility, team The Dark Farmers emerged victorious, impressing the panel with their innovative approach and seamless teamwork. The runners-up, teams New GEN BQ and Market Minds, put up a commendable fight, showcasing strong analytical skills and persuasive marketing strategies. Dr. Anil Singh Chauhan, organizer of the event, and his team members, viz., Dr. Archana Saxena, Ms. Reenu Banerjee, and Dr. Sadia Hasan, made commendable efforts to make this event a grand success.
