On 27th August 2024, Ads Wala organised Uttarakhand’s first RAP Battle, titled ‘SPIT FIRE Season 1,’ at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of Uttaranchal University, Dehradun.
The event began with a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, including Mr. Amitabh Srivastava, DCG Uttarakhand; actor Mr. Rrahul Sudhir; DJ NOXX; and DJ Nish Tomar. The ceremonial lamp lighting was led by these esteemed guests, accompanied by Dr Abhishek Joshi, Executive Director - Student Affairs & IT Services, and Prof. (Dr.) Shravan Kumar, Dean Student Welfare.
The event was anchored by Mr. Ajay Singh Rawat along with Ziddi Bro. Mr. Amitabh Srivastava, DCG Uttarakhand, encouraged students to dedicate time to their passions and added a special touch by performing a song. Following this, Mr. Rrahul Sudhir, a renowned actor, inspired the students to stay committed to their goals and to strive to make their parents, teachers, and friends proud.
The RAP Battle featured three exciting rounds: Introduction, Performance, and Freestyle, where participants from various Universities delivered outstanding performances and showcased remarkable talent. In this battle, Mr. Abhyudai Rawat from Uttaranchal University clinched first prize, followed by Mr. Suhail Shaikh from Uttaranchal University in second, and Mr. Rohit Kumar from Tula’s Institute in third. Uttaranchal University again created history by winning the 1st and 2nd position in the State level Rap battle where students from 16 Universities participated.
The battle was judged by India’s renowned Music Director and Actor Mr Nish Tomar from Chandigarh and DJ NOXX from Delhi.
Lastly, the certificates were presented to the participants by Dr. Abhishek Joshi, Executive Director - Student Affairs & IT Services, and Prof. (Dr.) Shravan Kumar, Dean Student Welfare, Uttaranchal University.
