The Orientation and Induction program at Uttaranchal University commenced with a series of enriching activities spanning 10 days. On Day 1, Mr Manish Badoni set a tone with a welcoming address, emphasizing the industry's rapid post-COVID-19 growth. Day 2 featured a presentation by Mr Badoni outlining the university's Vision and Mission. Faculty members from USHHM shared industry insights, addressing student concerns about career paths. Day three focused on social activities fostering community and inclusivity. It began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony and a speech by Mr Badoni, underscoring the importance of cultural programs in nurturing a vibrant student community. Day four witnessed presentation on an overview of the academic curriculum and stressed attendance criteria for examinations, along with ERP system usage by Mr Abhishek Negi.
Day five featured Mr Iqbal Singh Sawhney, Senior Manager, Corporate Resource Centre, motivated students to seize opportunities in India's growing economy through continuous learning and skill development. Day 6 hosted Dr Megha Agarwal's session on Universal Human Values. Day 7 focused on an Anti-Ragging Workshop, including a poster-making competition to raise awareness about the consequences of ragging. Day 8 included a campus visit to explore facilities like classrooms, laboratories, and recreational places providing insights into campus life.
Day 9 concluded with an ice-breaking session at USHHM to foster interaction between first year and second-year students. Throughout these days, the program aimed to orient new students to the university's ethos, academic rigour, and community spirit, preparing them for a successful academic journey at Uttaranchal University.
