The Women’s Cell of the Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM), under Uttaranchal University, organized a Poster-Making Competition on the occasion of International Women’s Day on 11 March, 2026. The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM, and Prof. (Dr.) Tilottama Singh, HoD, UIM, along with faculty members and enthusiastic participation from students.
The competition was based on the theme “Rise for Rights, Stand for Justice, Lead with Action,” encouraging students to creatively express ideas related to women’s empowerment, equality, and justice. The initiative was aligned with the national academic engagement promoted by the University Grants Commission under the convention “Bharati–Nari to Narayani”.
Students from UG and PG programs actively participated in the competition in teams, presenting creative handmade posters reflecting diverse themes such as women and education, self-reliance and entrepreneurship, workplace equality, health and well-being, culture and values, women achievers, and future solutions for women-led development. The posters highlighted important social messages and demonstrated the students’ creativity, awareness, and commitment to gender equality.
The posters were evaluated by esteemed judges Prof. (Dr.) Babita Rawat, Program Coordinator, UIM and Dr. Sonakshi Bhatia, Head-Cultural & Academic Affairs, UIM who assessed the entries on the basis of relevance to the theme, creativity and originality, clarity of message, and overall presentation.
The results of the competition were announced after careful evaluation by the judges. The title of Winner was awarded to Mohd Ayaaz, Nishtha Rana, Hriday Mohanta, and Lokesh Bhandari, MBA 1st Year students for presenting an outstanding poster that effectively reflected the theme of the competition. The Runner-Up position was secured by Ishita Gupta and Aman Pundir, BBA 1st Year students who demonstrated remarkable creativity and clarity of message. All participants showed great enthusiasm and creativity, making the competition highly engaging and memorable.
