The Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management (USHHM) successfully organized its Intra-Departmental Indoor Sports Competition on 26 February 2026 under the banner of “Challengers – The Sports Club of USHHM.” The event, held within the campus premises, aimed at promoting mental fitness, strategic thinking, and a spirit of healthy competition among students.
The competition brought together enthusiastic participants from various academic programmes, creating an atmosphere filled with excitement and determination. Among the indoor games conducted, the Chess Tournament emerged as a major highlight of the event. Students showcased remarkable concentration, analytical ability, and tactical planning as they competed against one another. Each match reflected patience, precision, and sharp decision-making skills, keeping spectators engaged throughout.
The primary objective of the event was not only to encourage participation but also to enhance cognitive development and teamwork among students. By organizing such activities, USHHM continues to emphasize holistic development alongside academic excellence.
Prof. (Dr.) Manish Badoni, Director, USHHM, appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and the spirited involvement of students.
