The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT), Uttaranchal University, organized an enriching educational exposure visit to the Pre-Incubation Center – BEST (Bajaj Engineering Skills Training Centre) at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, on February 26, 2026.
This visit was specially curated for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering students in their 2nd and 3rd years, aiming to seamlessly bridge the divide between theoretical classroom learning and real-world industrial and entrepreneurial applications. The core objective was to immerse students in the dynamic ecosystem of innovation, entrepreneurship, and cutting-edge incubation facilities.
Throughout the visit, participants received valuable firsthand exposure to the end-to-end process of converting creative ideas into sustainable startups. They enjoyed a detailed guided tour of the center, exploring the wide array of resources, mentorship programs, funding mechanisms, and comprehensive support systems designed to nurture aspiring entrepreneurs.
The event was expertly coordinated by Mr. Saurabh Aggarwal and Dr. Yashwant Singh Bisht, under the visionary guidance and constant encouragement of Prof. (Dr.) Sumit Chaudhary, Director of UIT, who has consistently championed experiential and industry-aligned learning opportunities for students.
