The Department of Civil Engineering, UIT, organized a three-day Holistic Development and Outbound Learning Tour to Manali, Himachal Pradesh, from February 26–28, 2026. Led by Dr. Gaurav Thakur, the excursion engaged civil engineering students and faculty members in a successful blend of experiential learning, cultural exploration, and mental rejuvenation.
Day one featured visits to the historic Hidimba Devi Temple and Mall Road, concluding with interactive activities and a DJ night that strengthened student–faculty bonding. Exposure to the region's cultural and geographical significance provided a peaceful end to the trip before the overnight return journey to Dehradun. Overall, the Manali outbound learning tour was a memorable experience that successfully blended practical exposure, cultural exploration, and recreation for the Civil Engineering students and faculty.
