School of Agriculture (SOA), Uttaranchal University, organized an “Institutional Startup Competition” on 27 August 2026 at the Seminar Hall of Atal Community Innovation Centre (ACIC), Uttaranchal University. A total of 55 UG and PG students, representing 11 teams, actively participated and presented innovative startup ideas before experts from ACIC and senior faculty members of SOA.
The competition was started with an introduction to its objectives by Prof. Rajendra Prasad, Director, SOA, followed by a briefing on the rules of competition and guidelines by Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Assistant Professor, SOA. The participating teams enthusiastically presented innovative ideas related to Bio-Match Agri Mobile App, Makhana Fusion, Raggi Bites, Silica-based biofertilizers, Sustainable Biochar production, Krishi Clinic, Farm Gate Pack, Mush-More Organics, Heath & Exotic Fruit, Eco-friendly weed-control mats, Rental Services of Agri-equipment.
The event provided students with a platform to showcase their innovation, creativity, entrepreneurial skills, and solutions for sustainable agriculture. The shortlisted teams were encouraged to participate in the upcoming Startup India Hackathon to be organized by ACIC of Uttaranchal University on 14 September 2026. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rajat Singh, Assistant Professor, SOA.
