On February 27, 2026, the E-Cell at the Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM), Uttaranchal University, organised a Tech Talk titled “Startup Blueprint: Ideation, Pitching & Market Strategy.” The session aimed to provide MBA students with practical exposure to entrepreneurship and strengthen their strategic understanding of launching and managing ventures.
The program commenced with the gracious presence of Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM, and Prof. (Dr.) Tilottama Singh, HoD, UIM. The keynote session was delivered by Dr. Anjali Dimri, Head, E-Cell, UIM, and Ms. Shristi Chamoli, E-Cell Member, UIM. In his opening remarks, the Director emphasised the importance of cultivating innovation, strategic thinking, and calculated risk-taking among management students. He encouraged students to move beyond theoretical knowledge and develop solution-oriented entrepreneurial mindsets.
During the session, Dr. Dimri elaborated on the fundamental pillars of entrepreneurship, including idea validation, opportunity recognition, business feasibility, and structured planning. She highlighted that clarity of vision, resilience, and market understanding are more critical than initial capital in the early stages of a startup. Ms. Chamoli focused on practical aspects, including crafting impactful investor pitches, differentiating between sales and marketing strategies, and identifying precise target audiences. She emphasised the role of storytelling in pitching, effective communication, and leveraging digital platforms for market reach and brand positioning.
The interactive session witnessed active participation from budding MBA entrepreneurs, who presented their startup ideas and received constructive feedback regarding scalability, risk assessment, and competitive positioning. Students were encouraged to utilise their academic years as a testing ground for innovation, collaboration, and experimentation.
The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Aditi, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their enthusiastic participation, making the event insightful and inspiring for all. UIM faculty members Mr.Vyomkesh Bhatt, Ms. Symle, and Ms. Yachika Chauhan also attended the event.
