On 26th February 2026 at Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences, an international guest lecture on the theme “QML and the Secrets of the Hilbert Space (with Qiskit)” was delivered by Dr. Jacob Cybulski, Founder of Enquanted, Melbourne, Australia, and Honorary Associate Professor in Quantum Computing at Deakin University. An eminent researcher and educator in quantum computing, Dr. Cybulski provided profound insights into parameterized quantum circuits, variational quantum algorithms, data encoding, ansatz design, and the intricate relationship between Hilbert space and model parameter space. He also explained complex phenomena such as barren plateaus, the impact of circuit initialization, and the dual role of entanglement and CNOT gates in shaping model geometry. The lecture left participants intellectually enriched and inspired to further explore the transformative potential of quantum machine learning.

Under the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma, Director USCS, the event was successfully organized by USCS and brought together students, faculty members, and research enthusiasts eager to understand the evolving landscape of quantum technologies. The webinar commenced with a warm welcome by the organizing team, followed by an address by Prof. (Dr.) Sameer Dev Sharma, HoD USCS, who emphasized the growing importance of quantum computing and its integration with machine learning in shaping next-generation computational paradigms.

The session concluded with an engaging interaction round, followed by a vote of thanks by Ms. Divya Rawat. The event was successfully conducted with the support of Mr. Parminder Singh and Ms. Manisha Khanduja.
