UIM Hosts Expert Talk on "Cross-Cultural Intelligence and Global Leadership" on 27 February, 2026

The Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM), Uttaranchal University, organized an Expert Talk titled “Cross-Cultural Intelligence and Global Leadership: Skills That Matter Worldwide” on February 27, 2026. The event was conducted in the esteemed presence of Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM, and Prof. (Dr.) Tilottama Singh, HoD, UIM. 

The session featured a stellar lineup of experts, led by Keynote Speaker Mr. Geoff Allott, a cricket legend and Executive Director of QualityNZ Group. He was accompanied by Guest Speakers Dr. Nitya Prakash, CEO of QualityNZ Education, and Mr. Nikhil Sharma, Zonal Head (India), QualityNZ Education. 

Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri honoured the distinguished guests by presenting tokens of appreciation to the keynote speaker and guest speakers. This was followed by the Director’s welcome address, where he introduced the luminaries from the QualityNZ Group. During his address, he highlighted India’s rapid growth in the global economy and emphasized how leadership transcends borders. 

During the address, Dr. Nitya Prakash emphasized that “dissatisfaction is the major drive to success,” noting that growth begins when an individual refuses to settle for average performance. He highlighted the critical role of talent transformation in building globally competitive professionals. Mr. Geoff Allott drew powerful parallels between international sports and corporate leadership, stating“Pressure does not build character; it reveals it.” He urged students to develop resilience, discipline, and the flexibility to seize opportunities. Both speakers focused on Cross-Cultural Intelligence, encouraging students to adopt a global perspective in the interconnected economy. 

The session transitioned into an interactive Q&A segment, where students engaged with the experts on international career paths and specialized fields like ACCA and CMA. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Farman Ali, Associate Professor, UIM, followed by the National Anthem.
