An Alumni Meet was successfully organized on December 12, 2024, at the School of Applied and Life Sciences, Uttaranchal University. The event aimed to strengthen bonds between alumni, current students, and faculty members while celebrating academic achievements and professional journeys.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by the Dean, Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh, who highlighted the importance of alumni in shaping the institution’s academic and professional legacy. Distinguished alumni from various batches shared their experiences, career paths, and insights from industry, research, and higher education. The alumni candidly shared practical advice, challenges faced during their early careers, and strategies for professional growth, making the interaction highly informative and motivating.
The event also provided a platform for networking, enabling students to build meaningful connections with alumni working in diverse sectors such as academia, research laboratories, healthcare, biotechnology, and industry. Faculty members appreciated the alumni’s continued association and support for academic and mentoring activities. The Alumni Meet concluded on a positive note, reinforcing a sense of pride, belonging, and collaboration within the School of Applied and Life Sciences. Dr. Shivam Pandey, Alumni Coordinator, proposed a vote of thanks.
The event was a memorable and enriching experience for all participants, fostering long-term alumni–student engagement. Dr. V.K. Srivastav, Dr. Nishesh Sharma, Mr. Yogesh Awasthi, and all faculty members were also present.
