The Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM), Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, organized a Two-Day International Conference on “Green Technology for Sustainability: Financial Inclusivity, Innovation, and Challenges in Society 6.0” on 4th–5th November 2025. The Inaugural Ceremony, held on 4th November 2025 at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, marked the commencement of this global academic event that witnessed the participation of over 500 delegates from India and abroad, including academicians, researchers, industry experts, and students.
The ceremony began with the felicitation of the Chief Guest, CA Charanjot Singh Nanda, President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and the Keynote Speaker Mr. Krishna Dushyant Rana, Chairman and Managing Director, Platinum Industries Ltd. by the President of Uttaranchal University. Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, President Sir, Shri Jitendra Joshi Ji, Vice President, Ms. Ankita Joshi, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi, Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Executive Director, Prof. Dr. Abhishek Joshi and our guests acknowledging their contributions to academia and industry. A scholarly book titled “Green Technology and Sustainable Transformation: A Managerial Perspective”, edited by Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri and Dr. Tilottama Singh, was also released during the event.
The Keynote Speaker, Mr. Krishna Dushyant Rana, Chairman and Managing Director, Platinum Industries Ltd., highlighted the transformative roles of green technologies, waste reduction, and circular-economy practices in achieving sustainable industrial growth.
The Chief Guest, CA Charanjot Singh Nanda, President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), spoke about ethical financial leadership and social responsibility as essential pillars of sustainable progress.
The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Tilottama Singh HoD UIM, followed by the National Anthem. Post-lunch, parallel paper presentation sessions were conducted, marking the continuation of academic deliberations under various conference tracks.
