The School of Liberal Arts, Uttaranchal University, organized an International Guest Lecture titled “Digital Pathways to Psychological Research through Open Access Tools and Resources” on 11th November 2025, on National Education Day, under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Dr. Kartikey, Director, School of Liberal Arts. The session was coordinated by Mr. Jageshwar Ray, Assistant Professor, School of Liberal Arts and Member, Psychological Counselling Cell (PCC); Dr. Aayushi Sharma, Assistant Professor and SPOC, Centre of Excellence in Science of Happiness; and Ms. Shilpi Prakash, Assistant Professor and Member, Psychological Counselling Cell.
The workshop was organized to enhance psychology students’ competence in accessing and utilizing digital resources for psychological research. The session was led by Dr. Renecynth B. Jaurigue, Associate Professor, College of Computer Studies, University of Antique, Philippines. The workshop focused on acquainting participants with open-access databases, repositories, and digital tools that support efficient literature exploration, organization, and synthesis in research writing.
Through interactive demonstrations, students gained practical insights into conducting systematic literature reviews and learned about the principles and benefits of open-access publishing. The session successfully fostered digital literacy, critical evaluation, and open science practices among students and researchers in psychology.
