Celebration of 150 Years of “Vande Mataram” at UIM

On 10th November 2025, UIM, Uttaranchal University, celebrated 150 years of “Vande Mataram,” the revered national song that holds immense historical and emotional significance in India’s freedom struggle. The event was organized at the Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM) with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The celebration began with a tribute to Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, composer of “Vande Mataram,” followed by a soulful recitation by students that filled the atmosphere with unity and pride. 

Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director of UIM, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of “Vande Mataram” as a symbol of national integrity and devotion to the motherland. He urged students to uphold the values of patriotism and unity in their personal and professional lives. Dr. Tilottama Singh, Head of the Department, UIM, also shared her views, highlighting how the song continues to inspire passion and love for the nation even after 150 years. 
The program concluded with a vote of thanks and the collective singing of “Vande Mataram,” reaffirming respect and pride in India’s glorious cultural heritage.
