On 7th November 2025, the first day of the 3rd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Humanities in Library and Education 4.0 (AIHLE–2025), jointly organized by the Central Library and the School of Liberal Arts, began with a grand inaugural ceremony held in Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of Uttaranchal University. The event was graced by Chief Guest Padma Shri Prof. Harmohinder Singh Bedi, Chancellor, Central University of Himachal Pradesh. The Keynote speaker was Prof. K. P. Singh, Director, Gandhi Bhawan, University of Delhi. The occasion was also attended by Shri Jitender Joshi, Hon’ble President, Uttaranchal University; Ms. Ankita Joshi, Vice President; Prof. Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor; Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice Chancellor; Dr. Ramveer Tanwar, Chief Librarian; and other distinguished dignitaries, including Dr. Renecynth B. Jaurigue from the University of Antique, Philippines, along with senior university officials. The session commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the release of the conference proceedings. Prof. Harmohinder Singh Bedi’s address highlighted the role of ethical and empathetic library systems in shaping responsible education systems through AI. Ms. Ankita Joshi emphasized the need for creative thinking in leveraging computational tools for libraries and education. The inaugural session set up an inspiring tone for the rest of the two-day event. The second day of the 3rd International Conference featured the continuation of parallel paper presentation sessions. The two-day international conference culminated in a dignified Valedictory Session held in Swami Vivekananda Auditorium.
The session was graced by eminent dignitaries and Guest of Honour Dr. Nabi Hasan, Librarian & Head, IIT New Delhi. The session concluded with a felicitation and award ceremony, followed by a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Ramveer Tanwar, University Librarian and Convener of the conference.
