"Freedom is hammered out on the anvil of discussion, dissent and debate", this embarks on the significance of Uttarakhand's rich freedom of recognition for the past 25 years.
On the momentous occasion of Uttarakhand completing, it's 25 years, the Government of Uttarakhand organized the State-level Extempore Debate competition the 'Silver Mic challenge' at Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, Rishikesh, on 7 November 2025. Law College Dehradun was represented by Subha Singh and Shristi Simran of B.ALL.B (Hons.)- I and BBA.LL. B (Hons.) - III, respectively. The team emerged victoriously securing the first position and a cash prize of ₹21,000. The state level extempore debate comprised of a fierce competition among the 18 teams present from all the prestigious universities of the state. It was a display of clash of minds where our team rose like champions setting a testimony to aur hard work, perseverance, and collective teamwork.
