National Unity Day Oath-Taking Ceremony at Uttaranchal College of Health Sciences

Uttaranchal College of Health Sciences observed National Unity Day on October 31, 2025, to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. The event aimed to promote the spirit of unity, integrity, and national integration among students and faculty. 

The programme began with an address highlighting Sardar Patel’s remarkable contribution to India’s unity and nation-building, followed by a detailed discussion on his biography, leadership, and role in unifying the nation. Both students and faculty members expressed their reflections on his life, vision, and enduring contributions to the country, emphasizing his ideals of courage, discipline, and service. An oath-taking ceremony was organized as part of the event, in which faculty members along with 176 students pledged to uphold the values of harmony, patriotism, and solidarity in their personal and professional lives. The ceremony reflected the participants’ deep sense of responsibility as future healthcare professionals, committed to serving the nation with dedication and unity. 

The event concluded with a reaffirmation that national unity is the foundation of strength and progress, inspiring everyone to contribute towards building a healthy, inclusive, and united society.
