The Uttaranchal School of Hotel and Hospitality Management (USHHM), Uttaranchal University, conducted a Yoga and Mindfulness Session on 18 August 2025 as part of the ongoing Deeksharambh 2025 induction and orientation programme for newly enrolled students.
The primary objective of the session was to introduce students to the ancient practices of yoga and mindfulness, highlighting their benefits for physical health, mental well-being, and emotional balance. It aimed to encourage students to incorporate yoga into their daily routine as a means of stress management and holistic living.
The event was organised under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Manish Badoni, Director, USHHM. It began with a motivational address by Dr Badoni, who emphasised the importance of discipline, wellness, and self-care in both academic and professional life. Students were then guided through a series of yoga asanas and breathing techniques, designed to promote relaxation, balance, and focus.
The interactive session was enthusiastically received, with students actively participating in the practices. Many shared that the session gave them a refreshing perspective on the significance of physical fitness and inner calm in today’s fast-paced lifestyle.
