The Anti-Ragging Committee of Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS) conducted a surprise visit on 18th August 2025 to various areas of the university campus, including the cafeteria, food court, boys’ hostel, girls’ mess, and playground, with the objective of ensuring the well-being and safety of first-year students.
During the inspection, committee members interacted with the freshers to assess their comfort levels and verify that no incidents of ragging or misconduct were occurring. The students reported feeling safe, comfortable, and well-adjusted within the university environment. Faculty mentors and senior students were also found to be cooperative and supportive.
The visit confirmed that appropriate measures against ragging were in place and that a healthy academic environment was being maintained. The committee reiterated the institution’s zero-tolerance policy on ragging and encouraged students to report any untoward incidents without hesitation. This surprise inspection effectively reinforced awareness of anti-ragging policies and reassured first-year students of a safe and welcoming atmosphere at UIPS.
