The Sports Club of the Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS), Uttaranchal University, organised an exciting event, Sports and Fun Activities, exclusively for the first-year students on 19 August 2025. The objective of conducting these sports and fun activities was to encourage active participation among students, promote physical fitness, teamwork, and a spirit of healthy competition.
The event was inaugurated by Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Director of USCS, who encouraged students to actively engage in both academic and co-curricular activities.
The event featured fun games such as Ludo, Mini Basketball, Dice Roller, Skipping Rope, and Burst the Balloon, filling the campus with energy and cheer. Students from MCA, BCA, and B.Sc. IT participated enthusiastically, making it a memorable success.
The winners of the various activities were as follows: Sohail secured first position in Ludo, while Mayank Kothari emerged as the winner of the Dice Roller competition. In Mini Basketball, the winner was Sandeep Kumar. The Burst the Balloon activity was won by Vansh Divan, and in the Skipping Rope event, Kanishk claimed the winning position.
The event was coordinated by Mr Deepak Pant, Head of the Sports Club, with the support of Mr Manish Negi, Mr Ashish Bhatt, Mr Nitin Sharma, Ms Neha Bhatt, Ms Manisha Saini, Ms Manisha Khanduja, along with student volunteers. The event was a great success under the supervision of Dr Sameer Dev Sharma, HOD of USCS.
