Uttaranchal College of Nursing Leads Anti-Ragging Awareness Rally and Session at Uttaranchal University

On 14/08/2025, in a powerful initiative to promote a safe and inclusive learning environment, Uttaranchal College of Nursing, Uttaranchal University organized an Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme and Rally on the university campus. The event aimed to spread awareness about the ill effects of ragging and to instill a strong sense of responsibility among students to uphold dignity and respect within the academic community. The rally began from the UCN campus and proceeded enthusiastically towards the administration block and food court before circling back to the college premises. Students chanted slogans such as “Say No to Ragging” and “Ragging Free Campus, Happy Campus,” creating an energetic and inspiring atmosphere throughout the university. Following the rally, a thought-provoking awareness session was conducted by Ms. Nitika Thakur, who shed light on the legal implications of ragging, relevant laws, and the disciplinary actions enforced by UGC regulations. The event concluded with an appeal from faculty members to uphold the values of compassion, unity, and mutual respect.
