The Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Uttaranchal University, in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Zonal Unit, Dehradun, successfully organised the Anti-Drug Awareness Programme – 2025 on 14th August 2025 at the Seminar Hall, UIPS, under the theme “Your Future Matters – Say No to Drugs: Inspiring a Positive Path.” 

The event was graced by Shri Rakesh Kumar, Inspector, and Shri Kabindar Singh, Sub-Inspector, NCB Zonal Unit, and conducted under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola, Director, UIPS, and Dr Yogita Tyagi, Head of Department. The programme commenced with a welcome address, followed by the felicitation of the guests and an impactful keynote session by the NCB officials, who addressed the health, social, and legal implications of drug abuse. 

Around 15 faculty members and 200 students from B.Pharm and M.Pharm actively participated, engaging in meaningful discussions and interactive Q&A sessions. The event effectively enhanced awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse, inspired healthy lifestyle choices, and strengthened peer-led advocacy for a drug-free campus. 

The programme concluded with participants pledging their commitment to contribute towards building a drug-free nation.
