Uttaranchal School of Hotel and Hospitality Management, Uttaranchal University, successfully organized the Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme on 14 August 2025 as part of UGC’s Anti-Ragging Week (12-18 August). The event aimed to foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment while reinforcing the institution’s zero-tolerance policy towards ragging.
The programme featured a Logo Designing Competition, encouraging students to create a campus-specific anti-ragging logo that reflects unity, respect, and empathy. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across the programs, who showcased their creativity and commitment to the cause through innovative designs.
A special video message by the Director emphasized the institution’s firm stance against ragging and the importance of collective responsibility in building a ragging-free environment. The event also included the screening of short films and TVCs on anti-ragging, effectively highlighting the legal implications, emotional impact, and preventive measures against ragging.
Certificates were distributed to all participants and volunteers, appreciating their active role in promoting the anti-ragging message.
The event was organized under the guidance of Dr Manish Badoni and supported by faculty members and student volunteers.
