Uttaranchal School of Hotel and Hospitality Management, Uttaranchal University, successfully organized the Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme on 14 August 2025 as part of UGC’s Anti-Ragging Week (12-18 August). The event aimed to foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment while reinforcing the institution’s zero-tolerance policy towards ragging.

The programme featured a Logo Designing Competition, encouraging students to create a campus-specific anti-ragging logo that reflects unity, respect, and empathy. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across the programs, who showcased their creativity and commitment to the cause through innovative designs.

A special video message by the Director emphasized the institution’s firm stance against ragging and the importance of collective responsibility in building a ragging-free environment. The event also included the screening of short films and TVCs on anti-ragging, effectively highlighting the legal implications, emotional impact, and preventive measures against ragging.

Certificates were distributed to all participants and volunteers, appreciating their active role in promoting the anti-ragging message.

The event was organized under the guidance of Dr Manish Badoni and supported by faculty members and student volunteers.

By blending creativity, awareness, and leadership messages, the programme successfully instilled the values of respect, empathy, and responsibility among the student community, aligning with UGC’s nationwide initiative to eradicate ragging from educational institutions.
