On 14 August 2025, Uttaranchal University organised the Deeksharambh– Student Induction Program where Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences, School of Applied and Life Sciences and Uttaranchal College of Health Sciences warmly welcomed their fresher students to the new academic session. The aim of the event was to help newcomers adapt to their academic environment, understand the institutional culture, and connect with peers and faculty.
The inaugural was graced by esteemed dignitaries, Shri Jitender Joshi, President, Uttaranchal University; Ms Ankita Joshi, Vice President, Uttaranchal University; Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor, Uttaranchal University; Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Director, USCS, Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh, Director, SALS, Dr Kartikey Gaur, Director, UCHS along with faculty members.
In the second session of the Student Induction Program, the Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS) conducted interactive activities that fostered participation, bonding, and motivation among the freshers.
Alongside these activities, students were briefed by the faculty members about their roles and responsibilities, covering examination guidelines, discipline, anti-ragging measures, sports facilities, the SWAYAM platform, and various student-centric initiatives, ensuring that freshers are well-informed about the academic and administrative support available to them. In addition, students were introduced to the various clubs and cells of USCS, which provide platforms for learning beyond classrooms, fostering skills, creativity, and holistic development.
First-year students participated with enthusiasm, as sessions on academics, career guidance, and interactive activities set a positive tone for a year of holistic growth.
