The Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS), Uttaranchal University successfully organized the Student Induction Programme on 10 August 2026, warmly welcoming newly admitted students and introducing them to the University’s academic environment, values, culture, and opportunities.
The programme was graced by Shri Jitender Joshi Ji, President, Uttaranchal University; Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor; Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma, Director-USCS; and Prof. (Dr.) Sameer Dev Sharma, HoD-USCS. Their inspiring words motivated students to embrace learning, develop new skills, and begin their academic journey with confidence and purpose.
The programme featured an inspiring Oath-Taking Ceremony, where students pledged to uphold integrity, discipline, responsibility, respect, and excellence. An informative “Cyber-Wise: Digital Safety Awareness” session by the Cyber Cell Team, Uttarakhand Police sensitized students about online privacy, cyber scams, social media safety, and responsible digital behaviour.
The event was further enriched by vibrant cultural activities and an energetic jamming session by students, creating a lively and memorable atmosphere. The programme concluded with enthusiasm, friendship, and a strong sense of belonging.
