On 20 August 2025, undergraduate and postgraduate students from the Department of Chemistry, School of Applied and Life Sciences, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, visited IPCA Laboratories Pvt. Ltd, Sara Industrial Estate, Dehradun. The industrial tour was organised by Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh, Dean of SALS, and coordinated by Dr Shivam Pandey. Forty students from various disciplines, including BSc (Hons) Chemistry, BSc CBZ, MSc Chemistry and MSc EVS, took part in the tour. Dr Ritu Painuli and Dr Manvika Karnatak accompanied the students. The students utilised this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and its operations. Additionally, they visited the company’s manufacturing area, packaging unit, and various laboratories. Students were briefed on quality control and quality assurance units, as well as several processes and techniques. The visit provided the students with a valuable educational experience.
