The Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS), Uttaranchal University, successfully organised an Alumni Interaction Programme on 25 August 2025, aimed at inspiring and guiding students by connecting them with accomplished alumni. The event was graced by Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Director of USCS; Mr Saurav Badoni, Advisor at Uttaranchal University; Dr Sameer Dev Sharma, HoD of USCS; and Mr Rohan Jaiswal, an alumnus of the BCA programme (Batch 2015–2018) and currently Manager at Deloitte (South Asia).
The programme commenced with an opening address by Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, who emphasised the importance of alumni interactions in motivating students and preparing them for the future. Mr Saurav Badoni followed with an insightful talk on placement strategies and highlighted the role of the Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) in shaping industry-ready professionals.
The highlight of the event was the engaging session by Mr Rohan Jaiswal, who shared his professional journey and offered practical advice on career readiness, personal aspirations, and social responsibility. His use of real-life experiences helped students understand the demands of the corporate world. A lively question-and-answer session on the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging industry trends further enriched the discussion.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Sameer Dev Sharma, supported by Mr Praveen Shah, Alumni Coordinator, USCS; Ms Manisha Saini, Mr Yogesh Juyal, Placement Coordinator, USCS; and student volunteers. The programme was an enriching experience that strengthened alumni-student bonds and inspired students towards excellence.
