Objectives of the event: The objective of this event was to educate students about the fundamentals of AI in biomedical imaging and sensing, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and exploring future research directions. 

Short Description about the event:  

Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Uttaranchal University, organized a guest lecture on 12th April 2025. The lecture highlighted the advantages of multimodal approaches, where integrating multiple imaging and sensing techniques leads to improved medical decision-making. The speaker discussed the roles of AI in biomedical imaging, various research areas including cephalosomatic anastomosis, 3D visualization of the human heart, AI robot-based pregnancy, and ethical considerations in AI-driven healthcare.  

The highlight of the event was the keynote address by the honoured guest speaker, Dr. Kapil Joshi, Associate Professor, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology, Uttaranchal University. Dehradun. The session was interactive, allowing students to ask questions and gain clarity on various aspects of AI driven healthcare. Dr. Joshi’s expertise made the discussion engaging and informative. The session served as an important step towards encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and future research directions among students. 

The event was organised under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola, Director, UIPS, and coordinated by Ms. Mansi Butola & Ms. Pallavi Pandey, Assistant Professors, UIPS.
