The Globe Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management successfully organized a Health and Hygiene Awareness Donation Drive on 19 February 2025. This initiative, conducted in collaboration with P&G’s renowned health and hygiene campaign, aimed to highlight the importance of personal hygiene and self-care among students across various programs at Uttaranchal University.
The drive served as a significant step in promoting health-conscious habits, emphasizing the crucial role of hygiene in maintaining overall well-being. As a part of this initiative, Gillette razors were provided to male students, encouraging self-grooming and personal care, while sanitary pads were distributed to female students, fostering menstrual health awareness and ensuring access to essential hygiene products.
This event was more than just a distribution drive. It was a transformative effort to educate students on the significance of hygiene in daily life. By addressing key aspects of personal cleanliness and self-care, the initiative aimed to break societal stigmas, encourage open discussions, and empower students to make healthier lifestyle choices.
The success of this campaign was made possible under the visionary leadership of Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Director UIM, and Dr Tilottama Singh, HoD Management. Their guidance played a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and wellness-focused environment for students. The event was meticulously planned and executed by the dedicated faculty and enthusiastic members of the Globe Club, whose relentless efforts ensured its seamless implementation.
This initiative aligns perfectly with UIM’s mission to cultivate socially responsible, health-conscious individuals who not only excel academically but also contribute positively to society by organizing such impactful and meaningful activities.
