The One-Week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Research Ethics”, organized by the School of Applied and Life Sciences (SALS), Uttaranchal University held on 21 February 2025 to 27 February 2025. The programme aimed to deepen participants' understanding of intellectual property rights while cultivating a research mindset, equipping them to navigate the evolving landscape of innovation in the field of science, ethics and entrepreneurship.
The event featured insightful sessions by esteemed speakers. Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh, Director SALS, opened with a talk on the need for quality research papers, inspiring faculty to aim for higher impact publications. Prof Rajesh Singh, Director DRI, discussed innovation and multidisciplinary research. Dr Akhilesh Kumar from Himalayan Hospital, Jolly grant, addressed research ethics, followed by Dr Kamaljeet from GBPIET, Pauri, who spoke on quality research and impact factors. Dr Nishesh Sharma, Assistant Professor, SALS, shared valuable insights. The program concluded with a memorable valedictory session by Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh on February 27, 2025.
Certificates of appreciation were presented to the esteemed resource persons Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh, Prof Rajesh Singh, Dr Akhilesh Sharma, Dr Kamaljeet and Dr Nishesh Sharma in recognition of their invaluable contributions. Their expertise and practical guidance were instrumental in making the programme a success.
