An industrial visit to Alder Biochem was organized by the School of Applied and Life Sciences (SALS) for students of Chemistry and Biotechnology disciplines on 22 February 2025. The visit was organized under the leadership of Prof Ajay Singh, Director, SALS and Co-ordinated by Dr Nishesh Sharma. The visit comprised of proving information about different departments and their function in pharmaceuticals including production, quality control, quality assurance and packaging. During the visit students also learned about key aspects of advanced softgel manufacturing technology. The visit also included a technical insight into microbial analysis in pharmaceuticals and the utility of HPLC and GC techniques. During the interactive session students were also introduced to different forms of accreditations and regulatory guidelines. The visit proved to be extremely beneficial for the students.
