Law College Dehradun, the faculty of Uttaranchal University empowered its meritorious students through scholarships on 6 December 2024. Mrs Anuradha Joshi, Vice Chairperson of Sushila Devi Centre for Professional Studies and Research of the University was present as the chief guest at the ceremony. At the same time, Ms Richa Kothiyal, the Probation Officer of Uttarakhand was present as the guest of honor. Students who excelled in various competitions and academics were awarded scholarships and cash prizes. Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean in his address stated that in the memory of Late Sushila Devi, mother, and inspiration of the University President Shri Jitendra Joshi, a scholarship of Rs. 72000 is awarded to the students who stood first in their class which is a positive step towards promoting academic excellence. In her address, Mrs Anuradha Joshi said that Late Sushila Devi is the inspiration for all of us. She always envisioned an educated society and women's education. Today, the fact that most of the scholarship recipients and winners are girls which is a giant leap towards realizing her dream and women empowerment.
