Globe Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management conducted a remarkable health and hygiene awareness distribution drive on 6 December 2024. This initiative, organized in collaboration with P&G’s renowned health and hygiene campaign, aimed to promote the importance of personal care and hygiene among the students of various programs and schools within Uttaranchal University.
The drive served as a platform to emphasize the critical role of hygiene in maintaining overall health and well-being. As part of the campaign, Gillette razors were thoughtfully distributed to male students to encourage grooming and self-care practices, while sanitary pads were provided to female students to address menstrual health awareness and ensure access to essential hygiene products.
The event reflected a multi-faceted approach to healthcare education, aiming to empower students with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to adopt healthier lifestyle choices. By addressing fundamental aspects of personal hygiene, the campaign sought to break stigmas and encourage open conversations about health and self-care, which are often overlooked but essential for holistic development.
The distribution drive was carried out under the distinguished guidance of Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Director UIM, and Dr Tilottama Singh, HOD Management both of whom have been instrumental in fostering a supportive environment for student welfare. The seamless coordination of the event was managed by the dedicated faculty and Student members of the Globe Club team, whose efforts ensured the success of the initiative.
The campaign aligns with UIM's ongoing mission to nurture responsible, health-conscious individuals who are not only academically proficient but also socially aware and prepared to make positive contributions to society. By hosting such impactful activities, UIM continues to lead by example, reinforcing its commitment to the well-being and development of its student community.
