Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University conducted an insightful webinar titled “Digital Transformation: Strategies for a Tech-Driven Future.” The session featured Dr. Jonathan Reichental, a renowned expert in Information Systems and founder, of Future Human, who serves as an adjunct professor at the School of Management, University of San Francisco as Guest Speaker. The webinar commenced with an inaugural address by Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM, Uttaranchal University, warmly welcomed Dr Jonathan.
Dr Jonathan started his session with the tagline “Digital transformation is about new ways of doing business” and shared his insights on the topic. He discussed digital transformation, which refers to the integration of digital technologies into all areas of business, resulting in fundamental changes in how organizations operate and deliver value to customers. This transformation involves adopting new technologies and processes that reshape the business model and customer experience. His lecture revolved around the principle of CC-DIV, mainly Customer, Competition, Data, Innovation and Value.
In the customer network model, he emphasized the importance of understanding and optimizing the connections between customers, businesses, and other stakeholders. Dr. Jonathan focused on the idea that businesses no longer interact with customers as isolated individuals, but rather as part of a broader network of relationships. Dr Jonathan described the model and told the audience that customer data flows through multiple touchpoints, and businesses must leverage this data to personalize experiences, predict needs, and improve offerings. He also pointed out that data being a "buzzword" highlights its critical importance in today’s business environment and digital transformation enables organizations to collect, analyze, and use data more effectively, allowing them to make data-driven decisions.
