On 4th February 2025, Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Uttaranchal University, organized a Cancer Awareness Lecture to mark World Cancer Day. The session was conducted by Mr Akhilesh Nautiyal, Assistant Professor UIPS who shared valuable insights on cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment advancements.
With an enthusiastic participation of 50+ students, the event aimed to spread awareness about the rising burden of cancer and the importance of lifestyle modifications in reducing risks.
The session was graced by Dr Vikash Jakhmola, Director, UIPS, and Dr Nidhi Gairola, Head of Department, who emphasized the need for continuous education and awareness programs to combat cancer effectively.
