On 4th February2025, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology witnessed a momentous occasion as it hosted a prestigious Placement and Internship Program, marking a significant transition for students from academics to the professional world organised by the office of International Affairs.
The event commenced with a warm and gracious welcome extended to the esteemed guests, who have been instrumental in shaping the future of education and professional development. Among the distinguished guests were Prof (Dr) Dharam Budhhi, Vice Chancellor, Mr Abhimanyu Sharma, Senior Recruitment Specialist and Representative of the University of Ottawa, Canada, Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Director, office of International Affairs, Prof (Dr) Sumit Chaudhary, Director UIT, Mr. Saurav Badoni, Placement Advisor, and Dr Madhu Kirola, HOD, CSE.
Dr Chaudhary delivered a compelling speech emphasizing the importance of academic excellence, innovation, and the role of industry-academia collaboration in shaping career trajectories. He highlighted the institution’s efforts in preparing students to be competent professionals with real-world problem-solving skills.
Following this, Dr Kumar, Director, International Affairs shared his extensive experience regarding the university’s ongoing collaborations with foreign institutions. He stressed how such partnerships open doors to global education and research opportunities, offering students a chance to broaden their learning horizons beyond national boundaries.
One of the most anticipated addresses came from Mr Abhimanyu Sharma who shed light on the evolving demands of international job markets and the significance of acquiring cross-cultural experiences. He encouraged students to embrace international exposure, which can serve as a catalyst in their professional growth and global employability. A key highlight of the event was the formal launch of the International Internship Program, designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and its practical application. With this, the Placement and Internship Program stands as a significant milestone in the academic journey of the students at Uttaranchal Institute of Technology.
