On the occasion of World Cancer Day, 4 Februray 2025, Biogenerika student club, School of Applied and Life Sciences organized a seminar on Recent medical advancement for cancer diagnosis and treatment. The objective of the seminar was to create awareness about prevailing causes of cancer, preventive measures with emphasis on healthy lifestyle and available diagnosis, vaccination and treatment. The seminar was conducted under the supervision of Prof Ajay Singh, Director, SALS and Convenor. Prof Ajay Singh specifically emphasized active participation of students and spread awareness to society. Dr Nishant Kumar, Scientist, Aavya Life Sciences shared his message on the role of biotechnology to develop new diagnostic techniques. Dr Monika Singh in her technical session shared information about molecular aspects of cancer causes. In oral presentation, Gurpreet was awarded the best presentation award. In the event students also presented a play to effectively communicate major causes and preventive measures of cancer. The event proved to be extremely effective and informative with a message to spread awareness to family, friends and society.
