Sustainable technology points at innovations which consider natural resources and help in economic as well as social development. The goal of these technologies is to reduce environmental and ecological risks and create sustainable products. The message of sustainability is well understood by one and all after surviving the pandemic. The Pandemic taught the whole humanity great lessons about healthy living styles. Keeping in view the urgency of creating awareness among the youth about sustainable technologies; Expressions-the Literary Club, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology organized an Essay Writing Competition on the topic- Sustainable Technology Evolution: Post Pandemic Issues on 28th February,2023.
The event started at 2.30 pm after a briefing the participants about the rules of the competition. Students from all the colleges of the university came to participate in it.Dean, UIT Prof S.D. Pandey encouraged the students with his motivating words. HoD, CSE, Dr Minakashi Memoria also graced the occasion and appreciated the club coordinators for their efforts. Student coordinators Isha Ali and Uttakarsh played a vital role in organizing the entire event with Dr Pinki Chugh, coordinator- Literary Club.
To encourage research mindset among the students, it was decided that the winning students will be provided mentorship for converting their essays into research articles and will be assisted in publication as well. It will not only give them an idea about how to write research papers but also give a start to their creative journeys in the field of IPR. Thus, the event aimed at various dimensions of learning.
