The School of Agriculture (SOA) celebrated the state festival "Harela" by planting saplings of medicinal plants in the University premises on 16 July 2024. Prof (Dr) M P Singh, Dean SOA, extended his greetings to all faculty members and students and explained that Harela is not just a festival of greenery but also signifies prosperity brought by the monsoon rains. He told that Harela festival connects human beings with the mother nature. He emphasized on individual interest for plantation of trees that could be extremely beneficial for the environment and for every lives. He encouraged everyone to plant more trees, especially medicinal and useful ones whichever and wherever is possible. All faculty members and staff also wished each other for the Harela festival and actively participated in the plantation drive.
